I had the same experience
I meet someone on an online site, who seemed to say all the right things, and we had alot in common, and I was so excited. He was handsome and seem to have morals and everything. He to told me he was a contractor working on assignment in Lagos Nigeria, but he was from New York. Recently he asked me to send him $450 dollars to pay his hotel bill, as someone had gotten into his account and his bank ( Bank of America) froze his account for 14 days, and the hotel manager only accepts cash. So he wanted me to send him money through western union, and when I told him I couldn't, he asked me to try money gram. So unfortunately this guy who I admit I had feelings for, and was building a relationship with, is not who he said he is. I tried running a background check on him, and keep coming up empty handed. But he still says he's coming back to the states next week. So we will see if that happens, as I am not sending him a dime! |

bilked by a man of faith
i too met a man named Richard Nelson he said he was working as a contractor in Lagos nigeria. that he had a nine year old son and was a man of faith. He said he liked my profile on Match.com we chatted for months.Then he began asking me for money.100 here a hundred there. Needed money to pay airline taxes and couldn't access his money. In lagos.I felt sorry for him. Wester union is involved as well as Yahoo to proscecute him.Please don't let anyone talk you into money . He bilked me for 2000 Dollars. |

Understanding
Hay, I understand you because that happen to me and everything you said is true about what they do and say, because I talk to one from "Black People Meet" and that just make you not want to talk to any one on line or any dating websites, brcause I got out of $840.00 and then I begin to look into this more and more and that person don't even know I know what he is doing, so keep your head up and move on because life is to short for bull shite like this, and hope one day they can go to jail for shite like this. |
