Real estate in Nigeria is the next big thing

Well Mike,

I believe real estate in Nigeria is the next big thing (After Petroleum, Manufacturing, Telecomms and Agriculture) that might happen in the next 5 years.

But my knowledge of the sector is currently rudimentary. However it seems Tenement Housing are the most lucrative on the long run well at least so far.

One thing I have found out about investing in real estate is the possibility of having new entrants into the millionaire/billionaire league, this happened in the late 1990's and early 2000's when people sold plots of land they had acquired in the late 80's and 90's.

Population growth in urban areas naturally causes land property to appreciate in value with time. However I still believe Tenement property have greater rewards with time.
