In Nigeria VSATs are quite commonly used to set up cyber cafes and corporate networks. VSAT networks support Internet, data, LAN, voice and fax communications. VSATs are more reliable than terrestrial networks, which have distance dependent charges unlike the single connection costs of VSAT.
